What's New

Girls in Technology will begin again this school year on October 15, 2002. We will be starting by participating in a challenge ropes course on that day. Meetings after school will be on Tuesdays from 2:15 to 4:00. We're looking foward to exploring some new activities, welcoming new mentors, and taking field trips. Stay tuned......

LAST YEAR'S PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

We started the after school program with a rotation schedule – each student participated in each of the four skill areas. The rotations were offered for four weeks each.

    1. Computer literacy
    2. Web design, HTML
    3. Digital photography, documentation, and photojournalism
    4. Discovering technology and science through art

Special Projects

  1. We participated with the 7th grade Adventure Education class in a three day environmental learning activity in the San Juan Islands.
  2. We were asked to produce a video for the SW School District Transportation Department’s annual Bus Driver Appreciation Banquet.
  3. We are creating a mural project for the LMS cafeteria.
  4. We are producing a video/CD for new students coming to Langley Middle School. It will be included with all new student information packets.
